Career Internships

At Legacy Network, we want to make sure you’re ready for your future career! That’s why we have a special program to help you make the most out of your internships. We work with lots of people in different fields to help you find an internship that really matters to you. We want you to get the experience you need to chase your dreams and make a difference in the world, especially in a world that’s changing so fast!

Our internship program for high school students includes an eight-week professional training program and help with finding internships that fit your interests. The internship program for college students connects you to career advising, a huge range of internships, and opportunities for summer grants to offset the cost of unpaid internships.

Internship Program for College Students

Did you know your career path begins before college graduation? A great summer internship helps you build your résumé, discover new interests, and explore your passions! Our college internship program prepares you for career success. We offer individualized advising and opportunities to develop important skills like project management and communication. Our college advisory meetings help clarify your career goals and find the internships that are right for you.

Our college students have had excellent experiences in a variety of career sectors, from the arts and sciences to politics, finance, and law. For example, our students have worked at places like the Library of Congress, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, NYC District 33 Council Member’s Office, StoryFit, The Brooklyn Public Advocate’s Office, Conde Nast, NYU Langone, Mount Sinai Hospital, and more!

Internship Grants for College Students

Unpaid internships can be expensive! Many students cannot afford to give up a paid job for an unpaid internship. We don’t want students to miss out on a great opportunity because an internship is unpaid. We offer summer grants of up to $3000 so that students can follow their passions and develop professional connections in the arts, community-based organizations, healthcare, law, and many other career sectors.

Internship Program for High School Students

Our high school internship program is designed specifically for 11th and 12th grade students. You are sure to get the most out of your internship by taking our eight-week professional training program. You will learn about new career paths and important topics like office etiquette and professional expectations. We take time to meet with you and our community partners to find internships that fit your interests and talents.

You have so many options! In the past, we’ve placed high school students in internships at places like the Brooklyn Public Advocate’s Office, Plato Learning Summer Camp, NYC Department of Aging, Piper Theatre Productions, NYU Langone, and NYC District 45 Council Member’s Office.
